This portion assesses the candidate’s knack of understanding, interpreting and applying information. It takes up to 70 minutes to solve the test involving 35 questions based on reading passages and graphical interpretations. The graphical interpretation section may include graphs, charts, photographs, cartoonic illustrations, and even maps. A candidate must score equivalent to or more than 145 to pass the GED Social Studies Test and to earn a high school equivalency diploma.
